If you’re a Snapchat user, there’s a good chance that you’ve seen someone you don’t want to see in your story. If you’re using the app on an iPhone or Android device, there are a few ways to block certain people from appearing in your snaps. Here are three tips:

  1. Type out the person’s name and use the “block” button. This will prevent them from appearing in your story for the current day and for all future snaps.
  2. Tap on the “x” next to their name in the list of people who can appear in your story, and then select “not me.” This will prevent them from appearing in any future snaps for that day or for all future days.
  3. To permanently block someone from appearing in your snap, type out their full name and tap on the “block” button at the top of the screen.

Snapchat’s Story feature is so popular it’s been ripped off time and time again by Facebook. It’s a great way to share what’s going on in your life in a disposable way. The problem is, sometimes there are one or two people you don’t necessarily want seeing everything you post. Maybe it’s your mother, or an annoying ex. Whatever the case, here’s how to block specific people from your Snapchat Story.

Open Snapchat and from the main screen, swipe down and tap the Settings icon in the top right.

Scroll down and under “Who Can”, select View My Story.

Select Custom and then check the box next to the person you want to block.

And that’s it, you’re done. That person will no longer see when you post a Story.
