Google Assistant can answer calls with ease, whether it’s someone you know or someone who just called. Just say “Hey Google,” and the assistant will start listening for your request. If it recognizes the caller, it will start answering the call for you. If not, it will let you know and offer options like rejecting the call or hanging up. Google Assistant is great for when you don’t want to use your favorite app or when there’s no signal. It can also help with things like setting alarms and controlling smart home devices. Controlling a phone with your voice still feels futuristic. Google Assistant makes a lot of this possible, and if you have an Android phone, you can even answer or reject calls without touching your device. We’ll show you how.
Voice control seems like it would be a pretty standard feature, but Google Assistant only gained this ability in June of 2021, starting with Pixel phones. It works just like any other Google Assistant command that you might use on your phone. As previously mentioned, this is exclusive to Android phones (sorry, iPhone owners).

How to Answer and Reject Calls with Google Assistant
This is really simple to do. The only catch is that you need to make sure that “Hey Google” detection is enabled on your phone. This is what allows Google Assistant to wake up when you say the command.
You’ll know that “Hey Google” detection is turned on if you say the wake command—“Hey Google”—and then Google Assistant opens on your phone. If that doesn’t happen, you’ll need to enable it. Follow the steps listed in this guide, but toggle the switch on.
Once you’re done with that, it’s just a matter of waiting for a call to come in. When it does, simply say one of the following commands:
“Hey Google, answer call. ” “Hey Google, reject call. ”
The call will either be answered and you can start talking, or it will be rejected! Easy as that.
There’s one little thing that’s kind of annoying about this feature, though. The call isn’t automatically answered on speaker. So if you’re using the command to answer the phone from across the room, you won’t be able to hear the other person.
It works best if you’re wearing Bluetooth headphones that have a microphone or if your phone is connected to your car’s speaker system. That way, you’ll be able to hear the person on the call. Little things like this make Google Assistant seem like a real assistant.
